Facilities

Hydro spa — this can be used before sessions in the pool or water walker to relax and warm up muscles and joints. The water is a bubbling 400C!

pool and rampPool— our pool measures 10 feet in length by 5 feet 6 inches wide and is 4 foot 6 inches deep. It is fitted with two anti-swim jets which can be adjusted to provide a variable current against which your dog swims. The water is heated to 270C.

Water walker — our underwater treadmill can be used as an individual form of rehabilitation or can compliment our spa and pool. It allows us to introduce your dog to the warm water in a slow controlled manner with variable speed control and depth of water that can be quickly and accurately adjusted. Our mobile water walker is the first in the country and was the idea of Vet Norman White. Being mobile it can be taken to Surgeries throughout the area.

The water in our spa pool and water walker is carefully maintained and sanitised by a sand
filter and ozonator and water quality is tested several times daily.

How will my dog get into the water?

dog liftThe pool has an internal and external ramp to allow for easy access. If your dog is very heavy or immobile we have an electric hoist which is used in conjunction with specially designed slings to gently assist entry into the pool or spa. The water walker has a ramp which your dog can use to walk straight in.
For safety reasons, all dogs wear buoyancy aids and a harness or sling whilst swimming.
